Parvaz Homay (born 9 February 1980) is an Iranian composer, lyricist, vocalist, and performer specializing in Persian classical / traditional styles.
His birth name is Saeid Jafarzadeh Ahmadsargurabi.He is the founder and leader of the Mastān Ensemble (گروه مستان), which performs Persian traditional music combining poetry, classical instrumentation, and modern arrangements.
He grew up in Gilan (province in Iran) in a place called Ahmad Sargurab.From early age, he had interest in arts; at 15 he began singing & acting in theater, at 16 he attended art school (painting). Later he studied harmonization, composition, and learned instruments like piano and setar.
