Nkosinathi Innocent Maphumulo (born 11 March 1976), known professionally as Black Coffee, is a South African DJ, record producer, and songwriter. He is one of the leading figures in Afro-House music and has become internationally known for his soulful deep-house style blended with African rhythms. He founded his own label Soulistic Music, through which he released his debut self-titled album Black Coffee in 2005. Over the years, he has released several albums, toured globally, and collaborated with major artists. His 2021 album Subconsciously won the Grammy Award for Best Dance/Electronic Album—making him the first African artist to win in that category.
