Armin van Buuren is a Dutch DJ, producer, and entrepreneur renowned for his significant contributions to the electronic dance music (EDM) scene.
In 2003, Armin co-founded Armada Music, an independent Dutch record label specializing in electronic dance music. The name "Armada" is derived from the first two letters of the founders' names: Armin van Buuren, Maykel Piron, and David Lewis.
Armada Music has grown to become one of the world's leading independent dance music labels, boasting over 25 sub-labels and a diverse roster of artists.
