Amr Diab (born October 11, 1961) is a legendary Egyptian singer, composer, and record producer. He was born in Port Said and is widely known as the pioneer of Mediterranean Music, blending Arabic melodies with Western pop, dance, and electronic elements.
He rose to international fame with his global hit Nour El Ain in 1996, which became one of the most recognizable Arabic songs worldwide. Over the years, he has consistently reinvented his sound, staying relevant across multiple generations.
Amr Diab is considered the best-selling Middle Eastern artist of all time and has won numerous international awards, including multiple World Music Awards.
